• Determined by the Internal Revenue Service to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
• Meals on Wheels Plus is not a chapter of a national organization. The program in Abilene is a private, non-profit organization with a 30 member Board of Directors.
• Meals on Wheels Plus is a member of the Meals on Wheels Association of America and the Meals on Wheels Association of Texas; however, we receive no funds or direction from either organization.
• Meals on Wheels Plus does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, financial status, race, national origin, sex, creed, disability, religion or political belief. Special emphasis is given to at risk seniors and/or adults with disabilities.
• Meals on Wheels Plus is not a United Way agency.
• Meals on Wheels Plus receives partial funding from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
