ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

•  Anyone 60+ years old or whose age is 18 to 59, has one or more disabilities, and cannot provide balanced meals for themselves qualifies.

A hot lunch is served Monday through Friday between 10:30am and 1:30pm. Lunch is diabetic friendly, as well as heart healthy. Low potassium, soft, and pureed diets are available. The program is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day with a special holiday meal being served the day before each major holiday.

Groceries On Wheels provides once per month a brown grocery bag of shelf stable food to a limited number of meal recipients who are most food insecure. Included are Ensure, Glucerna and adult briefs.

Pet Food On Wheels provides free dog and cat food to those who cannot afford to buy it for their furry family members.
 
 
 
 

Pet To The Vet provides free annual exam, shots, etc. for a limited number of pets that otherwise would not receive this needed help.
 
 
 
 

Books On Wheels delivers books from the Abilene Public Library to meal recipients who enjoy reading, listening to Audio Books, CD’s, & DVD’s but are unable to go to the library.
